Raspberry Butter is a sweet, creamy spread that is wonderful on rolls, scones, biscuits, waffles, pancakes, toast, and so much more. This fun, flavored butter is easy to make and so delicious!

We can't get enough of raspberries! Some of our other favorite recipes featuring this wonderful berry are Raspberry Cream Pie, Raspberry Macarons, and Easy Streusel-Topped Raspberry Muffins.

When I was growing up, I loved going out to breakfast with my family. The best part was that there were always what seemed like 20 different syrups and jams to try, and I always tried them all.

I would order stacks of pancakes and go through every delicious, fruity option, even the ones that I knew weren't my favorite to begin with (yes, you, marmalade).

But one thing I didn't see much of were flavored butters. In fact, the only place I ever remember trying raspberry butter was at a famous restaurant in Utah called "The Lion House". If you haven't been and are planning a trip to Utah, definitely go check this place out because it's a total institution.

I actually have a couple of Lion House cookbooks that my aunts have given me over the years and I love pretty much everything in them. Especially the Lion House dinner rolls, which are to die for. Particularly when they are slathered with this raspberry butter!

Compound butters are a great kitchen trick for making people think you are a fabulous, next-level cook. They are incredibly easy, loaded with flavor, and make everything seem more special. And a sweet butter option is basically an excuse to have a little treat with dinner or at breakfast, which I am all about.

Some of my favorite flavored butters that I've shared in the past include this fabulous whipped cinnamon honey butter and a savory roasted garlic & rosemary compound butter that I like to put on baked potatoes or steak.

But right now I'm completely obsessing over this homemade raspberry butter that is a fabulous, fruity spread that is the prettiest shade of pink. If you have never had raspberry butter before, it's the sweetest, most delicious way to top all the things.

I'm imagining this served on Valentine's Day for breakfast over waffles or pancakes. Or put it on the dinner table next to a bowl of warm rolls, fresh out of the oven. I'm pretty sure there is no better way to say "I love you" than with warm, fresh carbs slathered in fruity, buttery raspberry butter.

But this would also be delicious served at an Easter brunch, on Mother's Day, and pretty much all spring and summer long.

What Should I Top With Raspberry Butter?

Um, I kind of think we should top pretty much anything with homemade raspberry butter? At least anything with carbs in it. But here are some of my favorite ideas to get you started.

Really, you can make this flavored butter with whatever flavor jam you like. I'm thinking about trying boysenberry or apricot next.

When I was recipe testing I tried a batch using fresh raspberries in place of jam, and the flavor just wasn't as cohesive. It just tasted like raspberries mashed into butter.

I much preferred the batches I made using raspberry jam instead because the ingredients combined much better to make something really special and delicious. I think the butter to fruit ratio is just right, which is the biggest issue when making compound butter.

You definitely get the hit of raspberry flavor, but can still taste the rich, creamy butter that has been slightly sweetened with powdered sugar. The balance is perfect without one ingredient overpowering the others.

I know you are going to love this one!
