Chocolate Covered Halloween Oreos

What You'll Need:

Oreo Cookies Candy Melts For Decorating: Halloween sprinkles Candy Corn Candy Eyes

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper. Melt at least 1 cup of candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl for 30 seconds. Stop and stir well. Continue to melt in 20-second bursts of heat in the microwave until smooth.

Dip Oreo cookies one at a time in the melted candy melts or white chocolate. Lift the Oreos from the bowl using a fork or chocolate dipping tool and tap them against the sides of the bowl to shake off excess chocolate, then transfer to the prepared baking sheet.

Decorate with Halloween sprinkles, candy eyes, or candy corn before the melted candy melts have a chance to set up.

The covered Oreos will set up at room temperature, although you can speed up the process by transferring them to the fridge to harden.

I also grabbed some graham cracker squares and made Frankenstein's monster heads!

Oreos are one of our favorite cookies, and they are even better when they are coated in a chocolate shell! You can dress them up for any holiday by using seasonal colors and sprinkles, and they are especially fun for Halloween. Use any flavor of Oreos - normal, mint, orange, peanut!
