a mix of Granny Smith, Honey Crisp, and Pink Lady is my favorite
¾
cup
apple juice
apple cider, or water
2
Tablespoons
granulated sugar
optional
½
teaspoon
ground cinnamon
optional
Instructions
Peel and quarter apples, removing the seeds and cores.
Add juice (or your preferred liquid) to the instant pot along with the apples and toss to combine.
Secure the lid in place and cook on high pressure for 4 minutes.
Allow the Instant Pot to do a natural release for 5 minutes, then cover the steam valve with a towel and do a controlled quick release.
Mash the apples with a potato masher for chunkier applesauce or blend in a blender with the lid set askew so the steam can vent.
Taste, then stir in sugar and cinnamon, as needed.
Notes
NOTE: This applesauce can be transferred to airtight containers and frozen for up to 2 months. Let thaw in the freezer overnight before enjoying.
