Mango Lassi Recipe

This delicious Mango Lassi recipe makes a refreshing drink with simple ingredients in just 10 minutes, perfect for hot summer days! With a blend of yogurt, sweet mangoes, fresh mango juice, honey, cardamom, vanilla, and ice, this tropical beverage is packed with delicious fruity flavor!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped ripe mango, fresh or frozen
  • ½ cup plain or vanilla yogurt
  • 1 cup mango juice
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1 cup ice cubes (only if using fresh mango)

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a blender.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy. If using fresh fruit, keep adding ice cubes one at a time until the desired consistency is reached. To thin it out, add more mango juice. Add extra fruit or yogurt to thicken.
  • Pour into glasses and serve immediately. Garnish with fresh mango slices, if desired.

Notes

  • Yield: Makes about 2½ cups of mango lassi.
  • Storage: Mango lassi is best enjoyed freshly made, but you can store it in the refrigerator for up to a day in an airtight container or a covered pitcher in the fridge. Before serving, give it a quick stir, as the ingredients may settle and thicken over time. It is best to consume the lassi within 24 hours, as the flavors and texture may change after that. 
  • Freeze: We don't recommend freezing the mango lassi, as the texture may become icy and grainy when thawed.
  • Variations: Try replacing the mango with another fruit such as strawberries or peaches for a different flavor.
