Baked Brie with Figs, Walnuts, and Honey

When it comes to entertaining, this elegant Baked Brie with Figs, Walnuts, and Honey is an easy-fancy appetizer that is perfect on crunchy apples or toasted baguette slices.  It's melty, sweet, and savory all in one, delicious bite!

Ingredients

  • 8 ounce round of Brie cheese
  • 5 black mission figs cut into quarters
  • 1/4 cup walnuts roughly chopped
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • Baguette slices for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Unwrap the brie and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or in a shallow baking dish that you could serve the cheese in like a pie plate.
    8 ounce round of Brie cheese
  • Pile the figs and walnuts on top of the Brie and drizzle liberally with honey.
    5 black mission figs, 1/4 cup walnuts, 1/3 cup honey
  • Cover loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes, until the cheese is soft to the touch on the side of the rind.
  • Remove from oven and transfer to a serving plate, then drizzle with additional honey and serve with sliced baguette or crackers.

Notes

Alternatively, if figs are not in season, you could just use 1/2 cup of fig jam in place of the fresh figs and honey.
