Idaho

These recipes showcase just some of the foods that Idaho is famous for. "The Gem State" and became the 43rd state to join the U.S.A in 1890. It's where my mom, aunts & uncles, and grandparents are from so I've spent lots of time in Idaho, especially in the beautiful are of Island Park.

Idaho is primarily known for its potatoes. But huckleberries are another popular item that are only available for a short window each summer and can be tricky to come by unless you know where to look to pick them yourself or you get lucky and find them at a farmer's market.

Juicy Idaho Finger Steaks, trout, morel mushrooms, a sandwich called an Idahoan, and a thing called an ice cream potato are also popular foods you might enjoy on a visit to Idaho!
