Montana

These recipes showcase just some of the foods that Montana is famous for. “The Treasure State” was the 41st state to join the U.S.A in 1889. It’s home to Glacier National Park and parts of Yellowstone National Park and elk, deer, and antelope actually outnumber people in this state!

My husband has been visiting Montana for almost yearly fly-fishing trips since he was a teenager, so our love of this state is strong.

When it comes to food, Montana definitely loves its huckleberries and so do we! We spent a few weeks in Montana during huckleberry season and made lots of huckleberries recipes like huckleberry pie and huckleberry ice cream to share here. But it’s also a great place to enjoy delicious bison burgers.

Montana is home to the only grizzly bear population in the lower 48 states, so I decided to include bear claws in my collection of Montana recipes.
