New Hampshire

These recipes showcase just some of the foods that New Hampshire is famous for. "The Granite State" was one of the original 13 colonies.

New Hampshire is well known for its "boiled dinner", which is usually ham or corned beef boiled with potatoes, carrots, and cabbage. And if you are ever in New Hampshire in the Fall, be sure to sample one of their famous Apple Cider Donuts!

Other iconic New Hampshire flavors include maple (Vermont isn't the only state that can claim maple syrup!), whoopie pies (popular all over New England and available in many New Hampshire bakeries), and pumpkin (New Hampshire's State Fruit). Seafood dishes like fried clams, fish, and clam chowder are also popular thanks to New Hampshire's proximity to the Atlantic Ocean.
