Louisiana

These recipes showcase just some of the foods that Louisiana is famous for. In 1812 “The Pelican State” became the 18th state to join the U.S.A. It’s known as the Jazz Capital of the World and is home to bayous and alligators.

Louisiana has a rich culinary history and is one of the states that I keep coming back to for it’s delicious foods. Some of our favorites are Shrimp Po Boy Sandwiches, Jambalaya, Red Beans & Rice, and Monte Cristo Sandwiches. And don’t forget New Orleans Beignets for dessert!

Natchitoches meat pie, crawfish, catfish, muffuletta, King cake, and Cajun and Creole dishes are also all popular foods you might enjoy on a visit to Louisiana!
