Brownies and bars

If you’ve ever gone looking for the best brownie recipe or the perfect bar dessert to take to a potluck or bake sale, look no further. These are some of the best brownie and bar recipes I’ve ever had!

Whether you want something over-the-top or something more timeless and classic like a rice krispie treat, I think you will find something here to satisfy your sweet tooth.

For all the chocolate-lovers, there are gooey, rich homemade brownie recipes that I have made countless times. There is nothing like a thick, fudgy brownie when you are craving something seriously chocolaty! Or if you are like me and love nuts with your chocolate, you definitely need to try these Mississippi mud brownies with lots of pecans and marshmallows!

And for those of us who prefer fruity, seasonal desserts, there is nothing like a strawberry rhubarb crumb bar in the summer or a slice of german apple cake with streusel topping in the fall!

The great thing about most homemade brownie or bar recipes is that they make a lot, so they are perfect for sharing with friends. Plus, you don’t have to go to the hassle or scooping and baking batch after batch or worry about frosting “just so” like when making a cake. No sir, even frosted chocolate mint brownies just get a quick and easy spread with a knife rather than some fancy piping, making them ideal for novice bakers.

The hardest part about any of these brownie or bar recipes is deciding what to make first!

If you don’t find what you are looking for or have baking questions, email me at amy@houseofnasheats.com and tell me what brownie or bar recipe YOU want to see on here. I’ll see if I can add the recipe to my collection! There is a good chance that I have one and just haven’t gotten around to posting it yet!
